Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9-11 (c) you are hereby notified that on September 10, 2024, the Silver Lake Housing Authority will receive bids for the demolition of the unsafe building located at 1008 N. ROOSEVELT STREET, SILVER LAKE, IN 46982, which property has the following legal description, to wit:
LOT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED FOURTEEN (114) AND ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN (115) IN COURTLAND PARK, AS RECORDED IN OLD PLAT BOOK 3, PAGE 379, NOW IN NEW PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 199, IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, INDIANA.
The contract for demolition will be let at public bid to a licensed contractor to accomplish the demolition of the unsafe building located at 1008 N. ROOSEVELT STREET, SILVER LAKE, IN 46982.
The bid price of the licensed contractor who accomplishes the work and an amount representing a reasonable estimate of the cost incurred by the Enforcement Authority in processing the matter of the unsafe premises, may, if not paid, be recorded after a hearing as a lien against all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a contract purchaser in the unsafe premises.
The bids will be opened on September 11, 2024 and read aloud at the Silver Lake Town Hall, 604 North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake, Indiana 46982.
A copy of the statement of public bid may be obtained from the Enforcement Authority.
