WATER METER REPLACEMENTS
General Notice
Town of Mentone (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction
of the following Project:
Purchase Water Meters and Meter Reading System
Project # 2025.0100
Town of Mentone, Indiana, in accordance with the contract documents and specifications. Bids will be received by February 28, 2025, by 3:00 p.m. local time at the Clerk-Treasurer’s office at 201 W. Main Street, Mentone, Indiana.
Bids will be publicly opened at 3:05 p.m. local time at the Mentone Town Hall on February 28, 2025. Bids received after 3:00 p.m. local time will be returned unopened.
The Project includes the following Work:
The project includes replacing approximately 400 water meters of various sizes within the Town. The work includes furnishing water meters, coordinating with town staff to install and start the new meters, and data collection hardware and software.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Purchase Water Meters and Meter Reading System. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be as shown in the Bid Form.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Bidding documents are on file and can be examined at the Town of Mentone Clerk’s office. Town of Mentone, 201 W. Main St., Mentone, IN 46539.
Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time. The Mentone Clerk-Treasurer’s office is closed on Wednesdays. They may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Requests for bid packages can be emailed to mentoneclerk@rtcol.com or obtained at the Town of Mentone Clerk-Treasurer office.
After the owner reviews and awards the contract, a “Notice to Proceed” will be issued to the contract vendor.
Bids must be submitted on the contractor’s bid for public work form 96 and enclosed in an envelope with a 10% bid bond clearly marked Town of Mentone on the face of the sealed envelope.
Town of Mentone, Town Council Members have the Right to Reject All Bids.
All interested citizens are invited to attend. Should any citizens require special provisions, such as handicapped modifications or non-English translation personnel, the Town of Mentone will provide such provisions as long as the request is made by February 15, 2025.
