SYRACUSE WATER UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT (PER) UPDATE
The Town of Syracuse is notifying residents that the scope of the Water Utility Improvements Project being funded through a Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (DWSRF) loan and Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) grant has changed and will now include an upgrade to the existing water mains on Huntington Street and adjacent side streets, construction of a 12-inch transmission main from the water treatment plant to Allen Street and continuing on through Huntington and Wood Street to connect to the existing 12-inch water main on SR 13, an upgrade the existing water mains on High, Mill, and Washington Streets, a water main extension on Kern Road completing a water main loop in the athletic complex, and numerous lead service line replacements throughout the project areas.
The new total estimated project cost is $5,610,000. This change does not include rate increase.
