NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON PETITION
FOR VACATION OF PUBLIC WAY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Tina Owens, as Petitioner(s), have filed a verified Petition to Vacate a Public Way with the Kosciusko County Commissioners seeking the vacation of a public way, which Petition has been set for hearing before the Kosciusko County Commissioners on the 19th day of May, 2026, at 9:15 A.M. The hearing will be held in the old Courtroom, which is located on the third floor of the Kosciusko County Courthouse, 100 West Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. The public way for which vacation is sought, is situated in Kosciusko County, State of Indiana, and is more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Descriptions of the areas to be vacated in The Original Plat of the Town of Galveston, now known as Clunette as shown in Plat Book #3, page 392, located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 33 North, Range 5 East, and more particularly described as follows:
The 16.5-foot alley East of and adjacent to the East lines of Lots #9 through #14 in said Original Plat of the Town of Galveston, from the South line of said Lot #9 extended East to the North line of said Lot #14 extended East.
Also, a 16.5-foot alley North of and adjacent to Lots #2 and #13 of said Plat from the West line of said Lot #13 extended North to the East line of said Lot #2 extended North, exempting therefrom the East 77 feet.
Also, a 60-foot platted street between Lots #3, #4, #11, and #12 of said Plat; North of and adjacent to Lot #11 from the West line extended of said Lot #11 to the East line extended of said Lot #4.
Also, a 16.5-foot platted alley between Lots #5, #6, #9 and #10 in said Plat; North of and adjacent to Lot #9 from the West line extended of said Lot #9 to the East line extended of said Lot #6.
ANY PERSON desiring to be heard may file an objection or comments with the Auditor of Kosciusko County, Indiana or with the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission, and any person may appear at said hearing and be heard in support of or objection to the Petition filed herein. The hearing may be continued by the Kosciusko County Commissioners without further public notice.
A copy of the Petition is on file in the Office of the Auditor of Kosciusko County, Indiana.
