Notice is hereby given that the Town of Silver Lake is conducting a self-evaluation of all Town-owned facilities and programs for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Title II of the ADA requires that each of the Town’s services, programs, and activities be readily accessible and usable by individuals with disabilities.
Copies of the draft Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan will be available for public review at the following locations during normal business hours between November 1 and November 15, 2023.

Public comments may be dropped off in writing or mailed to the ADA Coordinator (Town Hall, PO Box 154, 604 N. Jefferson St., Silver Lake, IN 46982) during normal business hours, provided via email (tconley@townofsilverlake.com) or via the online submittal form. Comments will be accepted until 4pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
In addition, the Town will host a meeting to solicit public input and comment on the Transition Plan. It will consist of a short presentation to provide information on the Transition Plan, followed by open discussion with attendees. This will be an opportunity for the community to ask questions as well as provide suggestions and comments on the draft Plan. All comments will be reviewed, considered and included in the appendix of the final document. The meeting will be held as part of the regularly scheduled Town Council meeting at Town Hall on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 7:00 pm.
The Town of Silver Lake complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Upon request, the Town will provide written materials in appropriate alternative formats, or disability-related modification or accommodation, including auxiliary aids or services, to enable individuals with disabilities to participate in public input.
